back from the plains

a lovely trip to Oklahoma City for the annual Hearing Loss Association of America Convention. I will blog more about that in a later post.

When I got off the plane the first thing I wanted to do was spend time with the kids & wifey - and that I did.

before I go -- do you, my fellow one or two readers, follow the news? As a federal employee, I was stunned last week when a private security guard working at Walter Reed Army Hospital fired ten rounds at his co-worker after a name-calling episode. What's wrong with that you may wonder? First of all - this guy is hired to protect a federal facility, second - he fired TEN ROUNDS from his gun and MISSED his intended target! Third - these same private guards are employed throughout the united states and abroad to protect civilian workers -- I think it's time for some re-certification screening..and perhaps anger management. 'nuff said.

You'll notice that Joshua is holding a KIX in his right hand throughout the whole cake eating process.

I love this picture because it looks like Joshua is happily eyeing his cake and realizing it will be something yummy.

Joshua's 1st Birthday

I think this picture of Mike is funny because what does his smile mean? He's so goofy. :)

A Family in Need

Friday, June 15, 2007

David Cho, formerly the youth pastor at Immanuel Bible Church in Springfield, VA, recently passed away leaving his wife and five children (the fifth born three days after his death.) David had significant impact on the youth he worked with, specifically at McLean Bible Church where I knew and worked alongside him.

If you feel led, please consider supporting the Cho family, either financially and/or through prayer. You can also find more information on his Caring Bridge site.

His friends and community are reaching out for support and help to pay off the $500,000 mortgage on the house in order to support his family. Please pray for his family.

sleepy time

this is an interesting picture - joshua loves to climb on the coffee table and rest his head. what's neat is that while he's attempting to rest, Elmo in the background also decided to call it a day too!

i love this picture because they are both concentrating so hard on driving - which to them means turning the wheel over and over. I'm sure they really think they are driving which is so cute.

Herndon Festival Fun!

It looks like I'm the only one riding in the helicopter and I'm huge but trust me, Annie is in there somewhere.
